RETURN TO NEW YORK, 1995, Part Four

Recording Session of Paul Bowles' Music by the EOS Orchestra, Manhattan Center Studios, New York, September 23, 1995

Conductor and composer Jonathan Sheffer, founder of the EOS Orchestra, invited Paul Bowles to come to New York in September 1995 for a special Paul Bowles Festival at Lincoln Center and The New School for Social Research. As it turned out, this was Paul Bowles' last visit to New York City. Paul Bowles was accompanied on this trip by his friend, the composer and writer Phillip Ramey and his last Moroccan chauffeur and houseman, Abdelouahaid Boulaich.
