LATE YEARS, Part One
| Paul Bowles occasionally would visit the Café Hafa and drink a mint tea while looking out at the ocean with Spain in the distance. The Café Hafa is located on the Marshan, and it is popular with both tourists and Moroccans. Other photos here are of Bowles in Asilah, a seaside town on the Atlantic about an hour's drive south of Tangier, one in his study, and two of Paul Bowles standing by the door of his former house in the upper medina, and at the entrance to the Hôtel Villa de France. |
